High Times Cannabis Cup Comes Detroit in August 2019

It seems one Cannabis Cup isn't enough for the Wolverine State, and following hot on the heels of this year’s Michigan event, the High Times Cannabis Cup officially comes to the City of Detroit on August 17-18, 2019.

Michigan Cannabis

Colorado and the West Coast may grab all the headlines, but legal cannabis in Michigan is not that far behind. Medical passed in 2008, recreational use was green lit in 2018, and with the first laws regulating rec sales expected to land early next year, it’s an incredibly exciting time for Michigan cannabis.

As a matter of fact, the cannabis market in Michigan is predicted to outpace that of Colorado in terms of sales, so it’s fitting that the world’s foremost weed event would find not one, but two homes in the state. While Clio’s Auto City Speedway hosted the state Cup in June this year, in August, the High Times Cannabis Cup returns to Detroit.

Cannabis is Hopping in the Motor City

The Paris of the Midwest is home to the automobile, Motown, and now cannabis.

Thanks to legalization efforts, Detroit now boasts over 150 independent medical dispensaries. All of these are bustling small businesses that are reclaiming the city’s once abandoned commercial zones. This has led to a booming and unique DIY cannabis community.

Furthermore, with the first recreational dispensaries not expected to open until 2020, it’s fair to say Detroit’s green rush has barely started, and that’s good news for a City that’s been hit hard by industrial decline.

High Times Cannabis Cup Detroit 2019

On August 17 and 18, 2019, the High Times Cannabis Cup lands at Detroit’s Russell Industrial Center for two days of cannabis hijinks. From trade booths covering every aspect of the cannabis game, live entertainment, to the main tournament itself; there’s so much to see and do.

Dab Nation will be proudly representing dabbing culture at the Cup, so all you concentrate-heads out there should come and experience the current state of solventless rosin tech. Come down to our booth and say hello, and be sure to check out our competition entries for best booth and best glass.

So, make sure you’re there for the hottest weed event out there as the High Times Cannabis Cup turns Detroit into a cannabis wonderland.
